Easter Egg Hunt/Spring Fling

The Easter Egg Hunt/ Spring Fling is a Spring-time activity for children up to and including the fourth grade. Children are divided into age groups and each “Hunt” in their own area. The children “Hunt” for eggs filled with goodies and golden coins for special prizes. Children will receive a bag to put their treasures in. The Easter Bunny will be at the event to visit with everyone. The Easter Egg Hunt portion of the day’s events begins promptly at 9:00am. Additional attractions such as facepainting, food, music, and children’s programming are scheduled as part of the Spring Fling portion of the event from 9:00am-12:00pm. The Easter Egg Hunt/ Spring Fling is coordinated by the Lower Township Department of Parks and Recreation.

Coombs Douglass Memorial Bay Run

In Memory of Robert Coombs & David Douglass
This is the 23rd year of the consolidation of the Robert Coombs Memorial Bay Run and the David C. Douglass, Sr. Memorial Race. This year’s edition featured event is a certified 5 mile race as well as a 2 mile health run/walk. Both courses are scenic, and are located primarily along the beautiful Delaware Bay.
Proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics of South Jersey
Date: Saturday August 2,2025
Distance: 5 Mile Run (Certified & MAX 75 minute time limit), 2 Mile Run/Walk
Time: 8:30 AM
Place: Town Bank Fire Hall
Registration Fee: $30 pre registration online / $35 on race day
Race Day Registration Opens at 7:00 AM
- Free T-shirt to all participants as supplies last.
- 5-year age group trophies (1,2,3)

Tree Lighting and Veteran's Ceremony - Begins at Recreation Center 2600 Bayshore Rd Villas
The Program begins at the Recreation Center at 7 pm with speakers and entertainment followed by a candle lit procession to the front of the Municipal Building. A wreath will be placed at the Vietnam Memorial and the Lower Cape May Regional Choir will sing followed by the lighting of the Township Trees. The event concludes with refreshments in the Townhall Meeting Room
